OUR CHURCH LIFE
Worship --- Our worship is founded in a traditional service, but we embrace contemporary values. The service includes performances by our adult choir, and a children’s sermon, when necessary. We have a multi-media system for audio and visual presentations. Adult classes meet before the worship service. We have special music/drama programs for Easter and Christmas. Our "Women’s Bible Study & Prayer Group" meets weekly on Wednesday mornings.
Fellowship --- Our "Fellowship Café" is open prior to the worship service, and we have “Fellowship Hour” after the worship service once a month. We celebrate our graduates each June. During the community 4th of July and Christmas Parades, hot dogs and beverages are sold in front of the church. Our annual church picnic is held in July.
Outreach --- We are actively involved in many outreach/altruistic programs. Each year, we collect school supplies for the local elementary school, and have partnered with them in providing peanut butter and jelly for their "weekend backpack program", when needed. Our "Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF)" and "Disciples Men" have both participated and contributed to numerous regional church activities when called upon; monetary donations are made through scanning our Kroger grocery cards, which are distributed locally; our Food Pantry provides food and personal hygiene products during a semi-annual distribution. Our "Gift of Years Committee" provides assistance to our members, as well as donating to various local projects. We participate in "Wreaths Across America" and have participated in the local "Angel Tree" at Christmas. Our Fellowship Hall is available to the community, and at this time, "Narcotics Anonymous" and the "Master Gardeners" hold weekly meetings.
